ABOUT US

Caring for animals has been a passion for all of us at Barn Helpers.

Barn Helpers provides full service assistance and care for horses, farm animals, and domestic animals.  We have a team of experienced associates to care for your animals, and provide consistent and reliable services seven days a week.

Meet the owners:

Teri Paulsen has thirty years of equine experience, working in show barns, and competing.  She also started a non profit animal rescue, Saint Francis Animal Sanctuary and Rescue organization, where she cares for several animals including pigs, goats, chickens, horses, dogs, cats, and a donkey.  Teri also owned and operated a pet sitting business and is a certified dog trainer.  While animals have always been her passion, she accepted and held an executive management position at a large health insurance corporation for several years. Teri decided to follow her passion and combine her years of business management experience and her knowledge of animals to help create Barn Helpers.

Catherine Skellen has always had a passion for animals. She has 17 years of experience with horses and a lifetime of experience with dogs.  Catherine interned at a local animal hospital caring for dogs and cats.  Catherine attended college for Equine Business Management, Business Administration, and Animal Science at Middle Tennessee State University.  Catherine is a part of Saint Francis Animal Sanctuary and Rescue.  There she gained knowledge and experience with donkeys, goats, pigs, and chickens.  She is also skilled with handling, green horses, and animals with behavior / trust issues.
